April 2011Our family (me, husband, 3 kids/10, 12, 14) stayed at the penthouse monteverde for a week in the Spring. We loved it! It had everything we needed - enough beds for all, a fully equipped kitchen and a rooftop deck... We most enjoyed walking around the neighborhood - we had our choice of bakeries, cafes, pizza places, restaurants, produce store...and the best was the open air market a few blocks away. Who can resist the fresh fruits and vegetable, cheeses, pastas, seafood, etc.? The apartment is 15 minutes away via Tram from the center of Rome. Close enough to be able to quickly get to the sites, but removed from intensity of Central Rome. Andrea (the owner) was incredibly helpful - he called us to suggest daytrips (we went to Ostia), arrange transportation to the airport and advise us of a transportation strike (it was only a day!). I am writing this months after our stay...a testament to the great experience we had - thank you!

2 August 2011The appartment was perfect for us, far enough away from the centre to be really peaceful, but an easy tram ride (15 minutes) to all the main tourist attractions. Very spacious and we loved being on the top floor, with a roof terrace, great to sit and eat out in the evening, looking out over Rome. Andrea was very helpful and informative and the booking was easy. My son also loved having Satellite Tv and a playstation !

July 2011This is the perfect place to stay for us. Much more preferred over a hotel. The apartment was neat and had everything we could possible need. Washer , air conditioning, terrace and enough space in the apartment, even had parking. Lots of information, books and maps provided by the owner, Andrea. Our family of 6 2 adults with 4 kids. Ages 4,6,14 and 16 The only complaints one could possible have, there are several flights of stairs and no elevator also no regular coffee maker (just caffe mocha). This way not an issue for us.We found a great coffee shop nearby with excellent coffee and very affordable. We loved several of the restaurants in the area.

02 July 2011Great location - easy to find and very easy to the city centre, rail station and all the sights. Apartment was clean and comfortable - all you want. Shops, market and places to eat all near. Take the tram to Trastevere for nights out. Great time altogether.

June 2011My husband and I stayed in the apartment for 5 days in June 2011. The apartment is absolutely great, just wish there was a lift, as there are 110 steps to climp up to the 5th floor. So not so good for the unfit. The location is perfect, very quiet and all the sights in central Rome are easy to reach with the tram, which is just a 5 minute walk away. Should we visit Rome again we will definitely stay in this apartment.
