The property was clean and well equiped for anyones needs.
Andrew, the owner was great, he met us on the night we arrived and gave us lots of information including great places to eat.
I would recomend this property to couples and you could be very comfortable with 4 peope and ok with 6.
Transport is only a 2 minute walk and the area was safe late at night.
Overall, this was a great place to stay and I would recomend it to anyone." -

31-10-2009Gorąco polecam wszystkim, kt?rzy cenią sobie niezależność i luz, a jednocześnie chcą poczuć prawdziwy klimat Rzymu. Spokojna okolica, blisko przystanek tramwajowy, z kt?rego można dojechać bezpośrednio do centrum miasta w ciągu 15 min. W okolicy rynek warzywny i kilka dużych sklep?w z całkiem niezłym zaopatrzeniem. Gospodarz niezwykle gościnny, dbający o to, by zapewnić wszystkie możliwe wygody. Naprawdę polecam!
I really recommend this place for those who appreciate both independence and relax as well as want to feel the real Roman atmosphere. Quiet neighbourhood, direct connection to the city center from the tram station nearby (15 min). Easy access to the railway station and the airport. In the vicinity there are many nice, not expensive restauransts full of Italian delicious things. You can feel what the Trastevere is! Close to the apartment there is an open market and a few well-stocked supermarkts.Homeowner extremely hospitable, always carring about his guests' convenience. Really very nice place! Thank you Andrea :) -

03-07.03.2010Usually guestbooks describes the apartments, furniture, neighborhood etc. Just so all this elements at Monteverde Penthouse were as we expected to be. We had been looking for a silent apartment, not too far from the center of the Rome, equipped in everything what might be necessary for 5 persons family during 4 days. Although not everything we had to use, it was comfortable to know that in case of need we have a washing machine, iron and even umbrellas. All beds were comfortable even for really tall guys, what is not so obvious when you are renting a private flat and not a hotel room. Rest of furnishing was solid but not rugged. Bathroom was clean and functionally arranged. Internet connection not too fast, but absolutely enough for our needs.
Please do not be afraid about fifth floor and high stairs. Instead of that you may use the terrace just going through the door from bedroom. During our stay the weather was about 10-18 degrees with two rainy evenings, so we could not check all pleasures there. But I can imagine as nice it can be during warm days and evenings.
One more nice thing for us was several original pictures in calm and some nostalgic mood (especially fishes and boats at the beach). It has given for me special feeling of place, which you could not not find in a hotel.
Tram line is near, it goes frequently and after 20 minutes you can get to the historical center. Just round the corner you will find tasty and cheap Chinese restaurant and another small bistro with pizza. You can also buy fresh vegetables and fruits in the next shop.
If I had to say about any inconveniences, it is really hard to find them. The one was a far way to the supermarket (about 30 minutes by walk and by bus). But we arrived to the Rome, and not for the shopping in supermarkets, so it was not a real problem :-). The second one was know-how to control a temperature in the flat with a controller mounted on the wall. First night it was too cold, and the next day we found 23 degrees after return to the home at evening. But belive me - I have still similar problems in my house after several years living there.
Previously we planned to rent another apartment with rental agency. But ?the last minute offer? meant for them making reservation one or two weeks before. Then Andrea confirmed a reservation two days before our flight! It was like a business class service :-)
If you are looking for a hotel service, bar with a dancing, fast lifts and anonymous neighbors it is the wrong address. But if you would like to feel like an ordinary Roman you find it in the Monteverde Penthouse. We absolutely recommend it. Thank you, Andrea!
Jeśli chcecie uniknąć hotelowej atmosfery z jej wszystkimi wadami, a zyskać doświadczenie miejsca do kt?rego bez obaw możecie w Rzymie powr?cić szczerze polecamy Monteverde Penthouse. -

December 2009Apartament oceniamy pozytywnie (w stosunku do ceny). Polozony na wzgorzu z waskimi ulicami i niewysokimi kamieniczkami wsrod niewielkich miejskich ogrodkow. Bylismy zima - w?asnie dojrzewa?y pomarancze. Budynek zlokalizowany jest ok. 500m od przystanku tramwajowego. Dojazd tramwajem zajmuje ok. 20 minut ale docieramy bezposrednio do centrum /Plac Argentyne/ i dalej mozna zwiedzac pieszo.
The time spent in the Penthouse Monteverde was really enjoyable. It?s located on a hill with narrow streets and typical Roman houses in a surrounding of municipal gardens. We were there during the winter when the orange trees were growing. The apartment is located about 500 m from the tram stop from where we could easily and quickly get to the center of Rome. From the last stop of a tram we could get everywhere within a border of a city center on foot. The apartment is on a 5th floor so we had to climb the steps a little bit but it?s a good exercise. The place is really comfy and well-equipped. Even though the kitchen is not really spacious it?s kinda easy to cook in there. The apartment is meant to sleep 6. However, in our opinion it?s just more comfortable when you stay there with a group of 4. The main advantage of this penthouse is a wonderful and magnificent view over the area, especially during a sunny weather and when the sky is clear. The owner of the apartment, Andrea, is a really helpful, friendly and good-humored person and he speaks good English so it?s easy to communicate with him. -

November 2009This apartment is absolutely fantastic. Located in the Monteverde section of Rome, it is a wonderful quiet neighborhood. The apartment neighbors are nice and quiet also. There are great views of the city of Rome from the apartment patios. Very easy access to the tram - 2 blocks away - that takes you into the heart of the major sites of Rome. There are 2 TV sets- one is a very large, flat screen TV with English channels available. The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you will need. Wonderful patio area for relaxing and a super glassed in patio for all types of weather. We can't say enough good things about this apartment because the accomodations were excellent and the owners were very helpful with the reservations and contact information. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Rome
