Extremely comfortable and spacious for two people. Delightful rooftop sitting room. Other rooms spacious and very agreeable. The nearby "real" market is excellent, and there are also a number of convenient supermarkets. Tram 8 into Rome quick and easy. Bus H for town and Termini also quick and easy. Well equipped kitchen, even with egg cups (though no teapot!). Excellent holiday.

My friend and I stayed at Penthouse Monteverde after looking at a number of apartments in Rome. Although the apt is not in the centre, the nearby tram network gets you there in a matter of minutes. We enjoyed living in a residential area and found that the locals were friendly and helpful to us with directions etc. The apartment was meticulously clean and had everything you could need although we did eat out so didn't cook there. It is very quiet at night (apart from the ambulances going to the nearby hospital) but sirens seem to be a sound you hear everywhere in Rome! The only thing we did not like was the flights of stairs to the apartment, there are 10 flights (we counted!) and not good for small children or the elderly. Apart from that, we cannot fault the apt and would probably stay there again. Andrea and his parents were very friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome.

"For us the apartment was in a super location, a quiet area away from the crowds, with good shops nearby and easy access to the centre of Rome via the tram. The apartment was clean, well equiped and the furniture comfortable (although we did find the bed a little hard). The views from the terrace were stunning (well worth the climb up five flight s of stairs!). Andrea sent very precise directions on how to get to the apartment, which we found invaluable. "

Penthouse Monteverde provided a great base for our family to explore Rome from. The excellent tram to centro historico is at the end of the street. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe, and the apartment is lovely to come back to after a busy day site-seeing, with excellent views over the area from the terrace. Our teenagers loved the wi-fi and satellite TV facilities.

This apartment is a fantastic deal for anyone looking for a place to call their own in Rome for a few days. Andrea, the manager, was extremely helpful and flexible. The apartment is quiet, has a nice kitchen and entertainment room, and a spectacular rooftop terrace where you can watch the sunrise or sunset over Rome. It is easily connected to the centre, and is very close to Trastevre, the nightlife hub of the city. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Just spent a lovely weekend in the beautiful city of Rome staying at The Penthouse Monteverde. This is a spacious, clean and well laid out apartment with good access to the city centre on the frequent tram service which passes at the top of the road (the journey takes about 15 minutes and is cheap too). The apartment also has the added advantage of having a terrace where you can make the most of the Italian sunshine after a busy day's sightseeing. The owner provided excellent customer service and I would recommend his apartment to anyone wishing to stay in this area. The only downside was that we didn't want to leave!
    We will definately be returning.
