"The apartment was great. The kids were delighted with SKY and were able to contact their friends on facebook using the wi fi. It is a 15 minute bus or tram ride away from the centre of Rome The bus and tram stops are just a few metres from the apartment. Everything was as described on the internet, including the fact that there is no lift. I did not have any problem with the number of steps to the apartment; it just took me a little longer than the kids.
It was also reassuring to have the telephone and Andrea's home phone number available for any emergencies.
After a hectic day it was really lovely to sit out in the balcony and watch the moon rise over Rome. At the top of the street is a Chinese restaurant which the kids loved. They were so friendly. Nearby is an excellent Italian restaurant. Warm thanks to Andrea and his father for all their help."

"I was happy with everything about Penthouse Monteverde. You eat breakfast looking out over the city, in the sunrise. There are lots of shops and some great restaurants within a few blocks (try Ristorante Pistoia). The apartment is clean and quiet and everything works. The owner was helpful. The internet was free. I recommend it for a couple and one or two children, but perhaps a little small for two couples. In heavy rain, make sure the pipe on the balcony is clear so the water will flow out."

"Our stay in Penthouse Monteverde was brilliant from start to finish. Andrea provided great instructions and detail and the property was exactly as we expected even though we never realised how beautiful it would be to sit above the rooftops in the rising sun and plan a day in the city in front of us.
Travelling with four kids, this was an ideal place with plenty of space to relax, where an air conditioned "tv room" was a life safer after a long day in town.
We especially like the location in a great neighbourhood with apricot trees growing along the path and plenty of small shops, pizzerias and vegetables places to supply all that was required. Catering for a family of 6 was perfectly easy in the penthouse apartment.
Access to town was perfect via the tram and we would and have recommeded the appartment to anyone travelling to Rome and we would most certainly hope to come again.
Re traveltips to Rome, our experience was to find a tour guide for St Peter and the Vatican Museum but to avoid the same at the Colloseum. The Roma pass is worth getting for three days and the bakery around the corner from Monteverde Penthouse sells divine thin sheet pizza by the meter which will feed anyone for a picnic in town.
Enjoy. We had not quibbles whatsoever. Thanks Andrea

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Penthouse Monteverde. It truly is an oasis and peaceful place...a great escape after hours spent sightseeing. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need. I would highly recommend to anyone who would like to experience a slice of living in Rome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely and well-equipped apartment. The terrace with its view is absolutely terrific. Moreover, the flat is very conveniently located. The tram is very close and takes you in just 15 minutes to the historic centre. The neighbourhood in Monteverde is nice and quiet after the bustle of the city centre. And: Do not miss Tony's icecream and the local market. We will definately come again!

We had such a great time in Rome we sincerely did not want to leave. The Penthouse Monteverde was only a short tram ride into the hustle of the centre of Rome while giving us somewhere quiet and pleasant to retreat to. On several occasions we needed to take a break from days of walking. This apartment gave the opportunity to relax in a homely environment and to sample the local culture away from the tourist areas. Even though there was no lift to the 5th floor, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience of returning each afternoon or evening to a clean, practical and warm place to unwind. Andrea is a great host and I have no hesitation in recommending his apartment.
