August 2012Great value and quality accommodation in Rome that is a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the City. The apartment is situated in a quiet neighbourhood just a short tram ride away from 'Argentina' which is a short walk for all the attractions in the historic centre and well connected by bus to other parts of the city centre. The apartment up five flights of stairs (manageable) is clean and bright with access to outside space via the terrace an added bonus especially for dinner with the family and watching the sunrise/set over Rome. Andreas and his Dad were helpful throughout with the meet and greet and also providing valuable information to help us on our way. Highly recommended. Thankyou andreas - 'Forza Roma'.

August 2012My family (parents and two college age boys) just completed a one week stay in Rome at the Penthouse apartment Monteverde. We had a very happy experience and enjoyed the convenience and comfort of the apartment. The flights of stairs were a little intimidating but you only have to haul luggage up once and andrea's father helped us with that. Everything was as expectd and advertised. It was very hot during our stay but the a/c in the two bedrooms worked well (as did WiFi) and the other rooms had good cross ventilation. The rooftop had a great view of Rome and was pleasant once the sun went down. Andrea was most accomodating and responsive - she was out of the country during our stay but responded immediately when the electricity went out and got it turned back on (we could have reset the breaker ourselves but didn't know where it was located). The apartment is just a long block away from Tram 8 which takes you directly into the center of Rome where you can then walk to all the sights. The H Bus is also a block from the apartment and that goes to Termini Station - we used it several times when we took day trips via train to Firenze and Pompeii. All in all - it was a great stay and I would recommend this rental and andrea Vitale.

15 May 2012This apartment is located 4km from the center of Roma, but has excellent public transport with either tram or bus 10mins to river Tiber. The apartment is in a quieter suburb of Rome, with local restaurants, smaller local shops, and supermarkets. The apartment is very spacious 1 bedroom, it has a kitchen dining area open to a rooftop terrace. Also a sunroom which where sky tv available in English is provided and another double sofa bed. The apartment is on the 5th floor and our 2 children (8 & 4) were able to manage the stairs comfortably. The apartment is very clean and the rates are cheaper than anything else within that radius of Rome. The website has great information, and andrea is always available for contact and also provided a great detailed explanation of reaching the apartment from the Termini. Next visit to Rome we will stop here again. Thanks.

May 2012My wife and I stayed at Penthouse Monteverde for 3 nights in May 2012. Although there are five flights of stairs, they are not that bad, and our host, Andreas, was quite adamant in hauling our suitcases up and down. The location of Penthouse Monteverde is great. It is in a nice, upscale neighborhood, with supermarket, pizza, fresh produce market, even a chinese restaurant, within a couple of blocks. Its proximity to tram 13 made it ideal for getting into the main tourist area of Rome. The line ends right in front of the Wedding Cake, and everyhing is within walking distance from there. The apartment itself was nice. We had been on a 12 day cruise, and did not want to be pent up in a hotel room. The apartment is bright and breezy, with large rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The internet was fast and easy. When it got a little warm, remote controlled air conditioners cooled the place right down. However, the nice thing is definitely the breezes blowing in, and the terrace. The terrace has nice views, and is very roomy. It was nice to go out in the moring and evening and enjoy the sun and breeze. Our host, Andreas, was wonderful, no problem meeting up to check in. He also arranged for a quick check out and a taxi on the day we left. It made things very easy. While the tram is fast and convenient, there is also a taxi stand right up the street if you need one For example, we took a cab to the Vatican (about 10 minutes away) and it was nice just to walk up and not have to find one. All in all, our stay was wonderful. As advertised, you are convenient to the sites, but away from the maddening crowds and higher prices, as well as the noise, of the tourist areas. We will definitley stay here again!

April 2012Just returned from a long weekend in Rome after Easter - 4 of us including two teenage girls. Our first visit to Rome so we were not sure what to expect. The shopping was good for the girls. Apart from the heavy rain the visit was superb. The apartment was excellent with us all having a separate room. It's a pity we couldn't take advantage of the roof top terrace. Rome itself is a lovely place to explore - even in the rain! The Penthouse apartment is top class and the rooms are clean and bright with excellent facilities including a good kitchen for breakfasts and eating in if that is what you want to do. We ate out every time, which didn't prove expensive and the price of coffee was extremely reasonably. The tram into the centre of the city was excellent and runs late into the night, ?1 each. A regular train service to and from the airport made the transfer to the apartment very easy. Padre andreas was very pleasant and welcoming. We have already recommended the accommodation to friends and will certainly return.

April 2012We stayed for 4 nights in april and found the apartment to be comfortable and an ideal base to explore Rome from and to retreat back to afterwards. The local market, shops and restaurants are good too allowing you to experience 'real Rome.'
