10th January 2010Just back from our winter city break & wanted to say a big thank you to Andrea, our very generous & friendly host.
The apartment is spacious, comfortable & spotless. It has the benefit of a roof terrace which unfortunately we could not use in chilly January. I imagine this would be the ideal place to unwind after a hard day's sight-seeing during warmer months. For colder months the apartment has a good central heating system and we spent cozy hours relaxing indoors.
Although out of the city centre, the tram sevice is superb and we never had to wait more than about 3 minutes either way. It takes you right into the heart of the historic district. We felt safe travelling after dark and headed to attractive Trastevere every night to sample the multitude of restaurants there.
We have visited Rome once before when we stayed in an hotel, but this apartment suited us better: it's nice to get a feel of 'living in Rome' . And we're so much fitter after climbing the stairs :)
Thanks again, Andrea. We hope to return sometime. -

15 December 2009"Great apartment, a bit far from the main sights"
We loved the apartment- it was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed, plus it was close to convenient markets and shops. It was a bit far from downtown, but ther was an easy tram that went to all th tourist sites.

OctoberThe apartment is a really good acoomodation for tourists of four or six people. It is only 10 minutes by tram from the centre. One stop the other way was a farmers market. The tram goes every few minutes. The flat was comfortable and clean. There were things of everyday use like hair dryer and everything in the kitchen. The owners were so nice they prepared some basic food for us as we came late in the night. There is a terrace with a beatiful view as if it was made for drinking wine and eating pizza with romantic atmosphere. Few metres from the house is possible to buy pizza or china food.

October 2009We have just had a fantastic mid week break in Rome and the apartment was definitely one of the plus points. It has all the necessary facilities and is of very good quality and well presented. The apartment is in a very good location just outside of the city centre and has a variety of restaurants and shops available within the immediate vacinity.
It is close to the main transportation systems - trams, buses and trains that can take you to the centre within 15 mins. Our favourite area was without doubt Trastevere - after a walking yourself dizzy during the day in Rome you can freshen up at the apartment and then spend a few hours walking, shopping and dining in this beautiful area on the west bank of the Tiber.
We would highly recommend this apartment as the ideal place to stay if you are like us and do not like hotels but prefer to relax in your own space. Thanks Andrea we hope to come back to Rome some time and will definitely book your apartment again. -

16 Oct 2009We had a very good time staying in Penthouse Monteverde. Rome city center can be reached easily with public transport, the area around is nice. We had a good welcome from the beginning of the reservation, thanks for the very detailed information about how to get there.
The appartment is nice to relax after a long sightseeing day, spacious enough for the 4 of us. The appartment and especially the kitchen are well equipped, so cooking is as much fun as at home.
We can really recommend this place and wish everybody such a good time like we had! -

11th September 2009On arrival we were met by Andrea who was very charming and helpful. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well maintained and had great views across the city, especially at night. It is a 2 minute walk to the tram stop which takes you right into the heart of Rome and yet is very peaceful and relaxing. There is a great restaurant just around the corner with a few local shops and the people are all extremely friendly. It is an ideal place to stay in when visiting Rome, you won`t be dissapointed.
